What do you call a pain
That sets you free?
How do you name a gain
The world can not see?

It is a breeze of the sea,
The warmth of summer,
Right from the tree of life,
Comes the fruit of endeavour,
That strives to sanctify,
The wretched soul that went astray.
That washes the blackened heart,
Too broken to kneel to pray.

What do you call an abundance,
That the soul can't get enough?
What do you call the water of life
That spring forth in the trough?

It is a Channel of Spirit
A gift from above
This is the life of Grace
Gained by the price of blood.
