Matter

"That small grain of sand may not seem like it takes up any space or has any real mass, but wait until it gets in your shoe. Then you’ll know it as a physical object."

                _Anatomy 101, Kevin Langford, PhD

Matter: anything that takes up space and has mass. From the tiny microscopic level atom up to the giant universe, they all identify as Matter. It always amazes me how atoms form the greater picture. Each tiny particle contributes to the greatest construction of existence.

However, people sing about the universe and not about the atom. They praise the building and never the basement.

Sometimes I feel like that tiny atom that is too small to be recognized and invisible to be seen. It scares me to think how I will be lost in history with nothing to keep me alive. But then I remember how my tiny existence causes a ripple effect on the standing of the universe. I am not unimportant, I am just a part of something big. I have learned why they call Matter its name, it is because it matters.
