Blowing with the wind

“The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

  — John 3:8 (NIV)

I know how it feels to blow with the wind. That carefree feeling of sweet freedom is addicting, especially for a person who has been in chains for a long time. If you ask me how it feels, what I can tell you is that the wind is unpredictable. Sometimes it lets you travel with the wave and other times against it. Sometimes it is loud and sometimes calm, but never silent. Sometimes it takes you to the mountain tops and other times it places you in the deepest Valley. But I enjoy following the sunset with it, to see the sunrise somewhere else.

However confusing it is to blow with the wind, I love the way it raises me above the ground, from what is known, and let me see the whole picture.

Some say all of it is fictional, but how could anyone deny the existence of the wind? Maybe we cannot see it, but we hear its sound. Maybe we cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going, but we know it is moving.

It is really easy to blow with the wind if one wants to do so. But most people prefer to stay on the ground. I guess people are afraid of freedom. They mostly prefer to be enslaved. But for anyone eager to blow with the wind all you have to do is very simple: Born from the spirit!
