The perfect life

"Adults follow paths, children explore."

_NEIL GAIMAN, The Ocean at the end of the lane

The formula for the perfect life: Go to school, graduate with honours. After that, get a good job that has a good salary, get married at the beach, have kids, and then wait until you retire.

It sounds solid and all figured out. But the problem with that plan is the fact that it is not living, but rather gradually dying.

However, the facts known about the universe account only 4%. What is known about life is even less than that amount. We die without even scratching the surface of understanding the life given to us. But how could we do that when we are busy following the path they made for us before we were even born? Life passes by like smoke disappearing into the air before we get a chance to see its wonders.

If only we had the heart of a kid, if only we were open to exploring, we would see the nature of life in its true colours.

Life is more than dreams, far more than solid plans. It is an adventure waiting to be explored.
